I purchased four eSIMs from USA Prepaid SIM Card when my family travelled to the USA for a month-long holiday. The setup instructions were easy to follow and it was fantastic to have US phone numbers from the moment we landed. Being able to call and text each other freely, as well as having reliable data to access maps, find restaurants and research the places we were visiting, made travelling so much easier. We split our plans between T-Mobile and AT&T, which worked particularly well when travelling through more remote areas. If one provider had limited coverage, the other would often have a stronger signal. I have already recommended USA Prepaid SIM Card to friends and family travelling to the USA, and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for an easy-to-set-up, reliable and excellent-value option.

Just returned from the USA, used the eSim. Landed in Dallas, connected to the free Wifi and the eSim was loaded in my phone as per the instructions. I was in Dallas, Fort Worth, Nashville, Las Vegas & LA. Always had great connection, even in rural Tennessee. Connected to T-Mobile and on the iphone with UC connection, googled what it was it is the Ultra Connection from T-Mobile. The fastest I have ever seen the iPhone work. Just used it to call everyone using Whats App, happy to have my normal sim turned off and not paying roaming fees. Highly recommend this USA eSim. You can't go wrong

This was a great choice for me. I traveled across USA and Hawaii for nearly 6 weeks and could not have done it without this sim card. I was able to make national calls and use data the entire time. I also had access to free wifi on internal flights which worked fine. It's really important to follow all the instructions Witt activating the sim card and if you do you won't have any issues. I also got in touch for customer support with a few questions and they were very responsive. I highly recommend this product and buy it before you head to the USA.

Overseas travel made easy As a return customer, I purchased a T-Mobile Extreme Plan voice and data SIM card for my wife to use during her November trip to visit family and friends. After advising the preferred activation date ahead of time, she swapped SIMs on the plane, turned the phone on, and the new SIM worked first time. It could not have been any easier. Most USA travel eSIMs are data only. Ours includes a real USA number.

Many USA eSIMs only give you mobile data, but no phone number, and no calls or texts. That can be fine for maps and browsing, but it can be limiting when you need Uber, bookings, local calls, texts, forms, hotels, restaurants and other USA services. Having a USA phone number when you are traveling in the USA is important: imagine if your rental car breaks down between Los Angeles and Las Vegas and you need to call for help. Or your luggage is lost at LAX and you need to give a phone number for them to call. Or that restaurant reservation in New York that sends you a text when your table is ready.

Quick answers to the questions Australian travellers usually ask before choosing a USA eSIM or physical SIM card.

Will my phone work with a USA eSIM or SIM card?

Most recent iPhones, Samsung Galaxy phones and Google Pixel phones work with our USA eSIMs. Older phones may need a physical USA SIM card instead. Your phone must be 5G. If it is only a 4G phone, it will not work with our USA SIMs and eSIMs.

To check eSIM support, open your phone settings and look for “Add eSIM” or “Add Mobile Plan”. You can also dial *#06#. If your phone shows an EID number, it supports eSIM.

When should I activate my USA eSIM or SIM?

You do not need to choose an activation date when placing your order. After purchase, you submit your activation details separately.

You can prepare your USA eSIM or SIM before you leave Australia. Your USA mobile plan starts when you arrive in the USA and connect to the network.

Do I get a real USA mobile number?

Yes. Your USA eSIM or physical SIM includes a real USA mobile number for calls and texts.

This helps with Uber, hotel bookings, restaurant reservations, online forms, local calls and receiving SMS messages while travelling in the USA. Your family and friends in Australia can also call or text you while you are in the USA.

Can I use hotspot in the USA?

Yes. Hotspot and tethering work on supported phones and selected plans. You will find hotspot details in each plan description.

You can share your USA mobile data with a laptop, tablet or travel companion, subject to your phone settings and network conditions.

Does the USA SIM work in Hawaii and Alaska?

Our T-Mobile USA plans work in Hawaii, but not in Alaska.

Our AT&T USA plans work in both Hawaii and Alaska. If your trip includes Alaska, choose an AT&T USA eSIM plan.
