Why is this AT&T plan eSIM only?
This plan is eSIM only because it is designed for recent iPhones. eSIM setup is faster than waiting for a physical SIM card and is ideal if you want your USA plan ready before you travel.
It works with eSIM compatible iPhones including iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and iPhone SE 2nd and 3rd Gen.
Your iPhone must be unlocked and able to use eSIM.
Is this plan only for iPhone users?
Yes. This AT&T 12GB, 30GB and 50GB eSIM range is for compatible iPhones only.
If you use Samsung, Google Pixel, Oppo, Huawei, Xiaomi or another Android phone, choose our T-Mobile Unlimited Plan instead.
Which network does this eSIM use?
This plan uses LinkUp Mobile, powered by the AT&T USA network.
LinkUp Mobile is an MVNO. That means it does not own mobile towers. It uses the AT&T network, similar to how some Australian mobile providers use Telstra, Optus or Vodafone coverage under their own brand.

How much data should I choose?
Choose 12GB if you mainly use maps, messaging, email, browsing and light social media.
Choose 30GB if you expect heavier use, including more photos, videos, apps, rideshare, navigation and hotspot use.
Choose 50GB if you want more room for heavy daily use or plan to hotspot a laptop, tablet or another phone.
If you use up all the included data in your plan you can't add more. But you can purchase another eSIM on our website.
Can I use hotspot with this plan?
Yes. Your included data can be used for hotspot in the USA.
This makes the 30GB and 50GB options useful if you need to connect a laptop, tablet or second device while travelling.
Data does not roll over between 30 day periods on 60 and 90 day plans.
Does this eSIM include a USA phone number?
Yes. This plan includes a real USA mobile number, plus unlimited USA calls and texts.
This is important because many travel eSIMs are data only. A data-only eSIM may work for browsing, but it usually does not give you normal calls, SMS or a local USA number.
A USA number helps with hotels, restaurants, rideshare apps, tour bookings, travel updates, forms and roadside assistance.
Can I call Australia with this plan?
Yes. These AT&T fixed-data plans include unlimited calls to Australian mobiles and landlines.
They also include unlimited calls to New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, India and 30+ other countries.
Is Canada and Mexico included?
Canada and Mexico coverage is available on selected plans.
Choose a Canada/Mexico plan if your trip includes the USA plus Canada or Mexico. These selected plans include 8GB Canada/Mexico data and eligible calls and texts.
If you are only travelling in the USA, you can choose a standard USA plan without Canada/Mexico coverage.

You do not need to choose your activation date at checkout.
After purchase, follow the instructions in your order confirmation email and submit your activation details before travel and receive your QR code to scan to install your eSIM.
