Why a Real USA Mobile Number Matters
Most USA travel eSIMs are data only.
That means no USA mobile number, no local calls or texts, and possible problems with some US apps, bookings, verification systems and delivery services.
Our AT&T USA eSIM includes a real USA mobile number. This helps with convenience, safety and local services while travelling. If your rental car breaks down, you may need to call roadside assistance. Restaurants, hotels and tour operators may also ask for a working phone number for bookings and updates.
Canada and Mexico Included
This AT&T Unlimited eSIM includes use in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
You must first use your phone in the USA before Canada and Mexico roaming can activate. If you travel direct from Australia to Canada, this eSIM will not work until it has first connected in the USA.

Quick answers
AT&T Unlimited USA eSIM FAQs
Clear answers about setup, coverage, activation, support and what makes this AT&T USA eSIM different from data-only travel eSIMs.
Why is this plan eSIM only?
The AT&T Unlimited Plan is eSIM only because it is designed for recent iPhones. Most travellers now use an eSIM compatible iPhone, so there is no need to wait for a plastic SIM card.
This plan works with eSIM compatible iPhones including iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and iPhone SE 2nd and 3rd Gen.
Many travel eSIMs only include data. This AT&T eSIM includes a real USA mobile number, unlimited USA calls and texts, and access to the AT&T USA network.
Is eSIM difficult to install?
No. If you can use your iPhone, you can install an eSIM. You follow the setup steps in your order confirmation email and scan the eSIM QR code.
Some customers worry because eSIM sounds technical, but the setup process is simple and only takes a few minutes.
Which mobile network will I be on?
You connect directly to the AT&T USA network. This is not a virtual provider or a restricted tourist-only data service.
AT&T USA network coverage
Coverage across mainland USA, Hawaii and Alaska
Canada roaming on Bell, Rogers or Telus
Mexico roaming on AT&T México
Real USA mobile number included
Does this eSIM include a USA number, calls and texts?
Yes. Every AT&T Unlimited eSIM includes a real USA mobile number, unlimited USA calls and unlimited USA texts.
This matters because many USA travel eSIMs are data only. Data-only eSIMs usually do not let you make or receive normal phone calls or SMS.
A real USA number helps with restaurants, hotels, rideshare apps, tour operators, forms, bookings, travel updates and roadside assistance.
Your USA number will look like this: 310-123-4567. If someone calls or texts you from Australia, they use this format: +1 310 123 4567.
Can I choose when my plan starts?
Yes. You do not need to choose your activation date when placing your order.
After purchase, follow the eSIM setup steps in your order confirmation email and submit your activation details before you travel.
Flying today or already in the USA?
We can help if you need an AT&T eSIM urgently.
Will I get support while I’m in the USA?
Yes. We provide support while you are travelling, so you are not left waiting for Australian business hours.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

*** Information about data speeds
On the AT&T Unlimited Plan, AT&T may temporarily slow data speeds if the network is busy.
In our experience, this usually only happens in very congested locations, such as packed sports stadiums, busy airports, major events and similar areas.
AT&T calls this congestion-based network management. If a cell site is congested, you may experience reduced speeds or higher latency. Once the congestion eases, or you move to a less congested cell site, speeds and latency should return to normal.
Congestion can change quickly, sometimes within fractions of a second, so any impact may be short and will vary by location, signal and network demand.
